Crazy Hair Day

Jack and Miss Sharon
On Friday 10 May, our school held the annual ‘CRAZY HAIR DAY’ to raise money for the Leukaemia Foundation. The money goes toward supporting those with blood cancers and their families.
Events on the day included: a teacher hair raffle, chocolate guessing competition, coloured hair spraying, teacher watermelon eating competition, sausage sizzle, throwing wet sponges at teachers and senior students and taping 3 of our senior students to the wall with tape.
This year saw a big line up for hair shaving/cutting. We had Jack (year 6) step up and bravely shave his head. Our Groundsman Steve shaved his head and Mr Greedy shaved his head and beard! Ms Harmer cut her pony tail off, which had taken her 10 years to get to that length! And finally, Chappy had the coolest mohawk shaved into her head. To cut or shave your hair is very brave, so thank you so much to all of you!
Mr Knowles and Mrs Wheat had some face painting done by our talented year 6 students.
Our school incredibly raised $1365.20! UNBELIEVABLE! What an amazing effort by the staff, students and community of Caboolture State School. Thank you so much to everyone who supported the day. A special mention to the following businesses who donated toward the event:
·         Woolworths Central Lakes
·         HALO Hair Body Beauty Morayfield
·         Bunnings Morayfield
·         Meat City Caboolture
·         Overflow Morayfield
·         Kmart Caboolture South
