On Thursday 30 March, our school held our Crazy Hair Day to raise money for the World’s Greatest Shave. This year, we had the amazing Ms Sherry Gordon shave off her (extremely long) hair! So brave Ms Gordon – good on you! Ms Gordon raised $1063 online for our school team – WOW!
Our groundsmen were such troopers this year with Chris shaving his head and Steve waxing his eyebrows! This created a lot of laughs from students and staff. Mrs Wheat was covered in stamps and Mr Knowles had an enormous colourful flower painted on his head. Some of the exciting events that students participated in were coloured hair spraying, throwing the wet sponges at teachers, a teacher raffle, guess how many lollies, raffle prizes and a sausage sizzle.
The morning was a lot of fun. Incredibly, our school raised a whopping $1501 on the morning!!! Combined with the online donations, that’s a total of $2564 going to the Leukaemia Foundation to support those with blood cancers.
A big thank you to the staff who got behind the event, the students who made it such a fun morning and to the school community for supporting this very worthwhile event. Well done everyone! Champions! 😊
